LITTLE BIG NIGHTS OUT
In 2009 Murphy’s and Real Nation collaborated to create Murphy’s “Little Big Nights Out” a long-term event series aimed at rewarding stout-drinking consumers and positioning Murphy’s as their drink of choice. Real Nation organised and implemented all booking, ticketing, production, event and site management throughout.
Over the next 2 years, 40 events of various size and type were organised by Real Nation; from Florence & The Machine in The Opera House, to unique one-off collaborations in a variety of iconic Cork landmarks. Acts included Duke Special, Cathy Davy, Fred, Frank & Walters, John Spillane, Republic of Loose, The Coronas and many more.
These events evolved into Murphy’s “Little Big Weekends” which were staged on the site of the Heineken owed Beamish & Crawford Brewery in the heart of Cork City Centre. Typical attendance was 7,000+ each weekend over two key weekends in May and August, annually. Acts booked by Real Nation included; Tommy Tiernan, Peter Hook, Ceili Nun, Andrew Maxwell, Human League, Fred, Frank and Walters and The Walls.
