Real Nation started working with the RDS on their RDS Primary Science Fair Limerick and Belfast in 2018, which inspired entire classrooms around the country with the incredible wonders of STEM.
. The Fairs showcased 3rd-6th class primary school science-themed projects alongside an exciting educational entertainment programme including science shows and interactive exhibits. They attracted approximately 6,500 primary school students from across the country.
Following from the success of running the RDS Primary Science Fair Limerick and Belfast in 2018, Real Nation were engaged to manage the launch of the newly sponsored and rebranded Fairs, now known as ESB Science Blast (although the programme is still owned by the RDS).
Due to high demand, 2020 saw additional days added to the Dublin ESB Science Blast event in the RDS, doubling it from a two-day to four-day event.

By 2021, Real Nation had already overseen more than 25,000 students participating in ESB Science Blast from across Ireland. Therefore, it was important for all stakeholders that a creative solution would still engage and continue the legacy of ESB Science Blast, while operating in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The concept of ESB Science Blast TV was born and comprised of a week-long educational online TV series to entertain, educate and inspire students. Each episode featured:
The episodes proved to be a huge success and ensured the strong reputation, which ESB Science Blast has built with the primary science community, remained intact. The opportunity for schools to continue their journey in exploring science continued to grow in 2021.
Real Nation continues to work closely with the RDS and pending safety protocols, is hoping to relaunch the flagship ESB Science Blast as a physical event in in 2022
